Effect of pulmonary surfactant combined with nasal continuous positive airway pressure in the treatment of full-term neonatal respiratory distress syndrome
Objective To explore the effect of pulmonary surfactant(PS)combined with nasal continuous positive airway pressure(nCPAP)in the treatment of full-term neonatal respiratory distress syndrome(RDS).Methods The clinical data of 104 full-term RDS neonates admitted in our hospital from September 2018 to November 2021 were retrospectively analyzed.According to different treatment methods, the neonates were divided into reference group and study group, with 52 cases in each group. The reference group was treated with nCPAP,and the study group was treated with PS combined with nCPAP.The therapeutic effects of the two groups were compared. Results The total effective rate of treatment in the study group was higher than that in the reference group, and the total incidence of complications was lower than that in the reference group(P<0.05);there was no significant difference in mortality between the two groups(P>0.05).The partial pressure of carbon dioxide(PaCO2)in the study group was lower than that in the reference group, and the partial pressure of oxygen in arterial blood(PaO2)and blood oxygen saturation(SaO2)were higher than those in the reference group(P<0.05).After treatment, the positive end expiratory pressure(PEEP),mean airway pressure(MAP)and peak inspiratory pressure(PIP)of the study group were lower than those of the reference group(P<0.05).The mechanical ventilation time and hospitalization time of the study group were shorter than those of the reference group(P<0.05).The parental satisfaction of the study group was higher than that of the reference group(P<0.05).Conclusion PS combined with nCPAP in the treatment of full-term neonatal RDS can improve the clinical treatment effect, ameliorate the oxygenation ability and pulmonary ventilation function of children, shorten the mechanical ventilation time and hospitalization time, reduce the risk of complications, and has higher family satisfaction.
