Preventive effect of nursing intervention using the Fall Risk Assessment Scale as strategy on fall in Parkinson's disease patients
Objective To analyze the preventive effect of nursing intervention using the Fall Risk Assessment Scale as strategy on fall in Parkinson's disease patients. Methods A total of 120 Parkinson's disease patients admitted from February 2018 to March 2022 were selected as the study objects. The patients were divided into control group and observation group by random number table method, with 60 cases in each group. The control group received routine nursing, while the observation group received nursing intervention using the Fall Risk Assessment Scale as strategy based on the control group. The intervention effects of two groups were compared. Results After intervention, the scores of knowledge, belief and behavior of fall prevention in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After intervention, the HendfichⅡFall Risk Model(HFRM)score of the observation group was lower than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);the incidence of fall in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After intervention, the Berg Balance Scale(BBS),Functional Gait Assessment(FGA)and Fugl-Meyer Assessment-Lower Extremity(FMA-LE)scores of the observation group were higher than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The nursing intervention using the fall risk assessment scale as strategy use in the fall prevention nursing of Parkinson's disease patients can improve the level of knowledge, belief and behavior of fall and the stability of lower limb function, and reduce the risk and incidence of fall, which is worthy of promotion.
