Analysis of the causes and prevention and control measures of the elevation of alanine aminotransferase in preliminary screening of voluntary blood donation
Objective To analyze the causes and prevention and control measures of the elevation of alanine aminotransferase in preliminary screening of voluntary blood donation. Methods The blood sample test data of all blood collectors(19 127 people in total)in Nanyang Central Blood Station from January to December 2022 were retrospectively analyzed. The blood samples of 637 cases with elevated alanine aminotransferase were detected by preliminary screening as observation group, while the blood samples of 18 490 cases without elevated alanine aminotransferase were detected by preliminary screening as control group. The basic data of the two groups were statistically compared, and the prevention and control measures for the elevation of alanine aminotransferase in voluntary blood donation were analyzed. Results There were no significant differences in gender, age and occupation between the two groups(P>0.05);the proportions of body weight 71-80 kg,moderate to severe fatty liver, smoking history, drinking history, medication history within 3 days before blood donation, and long-term staying up late in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Among the reasons for the elevation of alanine aminotransferase in preliminary screening of voluntary blood donation, obesity, liver fat attenuation index, bad diet and living habits, drug use and so on are influecing factors.Prevention and control measures can be carried out in combination with the above influencing factors, and preparation work before blood donation can be done to avoid unnecessary waste of medical resources and injury of blood donors.
