Effects of compound glycyrrhizin tablets combined with azithromycin on serum ferritin and lactate dehydrogenase levels in children with mycoplasma pneumonia
Objective To investigate the effects of compound glycyrrhizin tablets combined with azithromycin on serum ferritin(SF)and lactate dehydrogenase(LDH)levels in children with mycoplasma pneumonia. Methods A total of 88 children with mycoplasma pneumonia admitted in our hospital from May 2020 to March 2021 were selected as the study objects and randomly divided into control group(44 cases, azithromycin treatment)and observation group(44 cases, compound glycyrrhizin tablets combined with azithromycin treatment). The therapeutic effects of the two groups were compared. Results The total effective rate of treatment in the observation group was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05).After treatment, the forced expiratory volume in one second(FEVi),forced vital capacity(FVC)and peak expiratory flow(PEF)in the observation group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).After treatment, the levels of tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α),interleukin-6(IL-6)and interleukin-10(IL-10)in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).After treatment, the levels of immunoglobulin M(IgM),immunoglobulin G(IgG)and immunoglobulin A(IgA)in the observation group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).After treatment, the levels of SF and LDH in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Compound glycyrrhizin tablets combined with azithromycin can improve the therapeutic effect of mycoplasma pneumonia in children, ameliorate the lung function indexes, inflammation indexes and immune function indexes of children, and reduce the levels of SF and LDH,which is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
