Objective To understand the resistance of 282 strains of Neisseria gonorrhoeae to 8 commonly used antibiotics and the prevalence of penicillinase-producing Neisseria gonorrhoeae(PPNG)and plasmid-mediated high level tetracycline-resistant Neisseria gonorrhoeae(TRNG)in our hospital,so as to provide reference for clinical rational drug use. Methods A total of 282 strains of Neisseria gonorrhoeae isolated from our hospital from January 2020 to October 2022 were collected. The identification was carried out by VITEK 2 Compact automatic microbial identification system and supporting identification card, and the sensitivity test of 8 kinds of antibacterial drugs was carried out by K-B method and E-test method. Results The 282 strains of Neisseria gonorrhoeae were more common in 18-30 years old and 31-50 years old,the positive rates were 61.0%and 26.6%,respectively,and the positive rate of males was higher than that of females.A total of 282 strains of Neisseria gonorrhoeae were sensitive to spectinomycin and azithromycin, and no resistant stranins to spectinomycin and azithromycin were found. The drug resistance rates to cefoxitin, cefotaxime and ceftriaxone were less than 10%,the drug resistance rate to ciprofloxacin was more than 90%,and the drug resistance rates to penicillin and tetracycline were more than 70%.A total of 202 strains(71.6%)of PPNG and 129 strains(45.7%)of TRNG were detected. Conclusion Cefoxitin, cefotaxime, ceftriaxone, spectinomycin and azithromycin can be used as first-line drugs for the treatment of gonorrhea. The penicillin, tetracycline and ciprofloxacin have high drug resistance rates, and they are no longer suitable for the treatment of gonorrhea.
