Clinical effect of hemoperfusion and continuous veno-venous hemofiltration in the treatment of severe wasp stings complicated by multiple organ disfunction syndrome
Objective To investigate the clinical effect of hemoperfusion and continuous veno-venous hemofiltration in the treatment of severe wasp stings complicated by multiple organ disfunction syndrome(MODS).Methods A total of 14 elderly patients with severe wasp stings and MODS admitted in our hospital were selected. All patients received hemoperfusion combined with continuous veno-venous hemofiltration treatment in addition to conventional treatment after admission. The therapeutic effect of patients were analyzed. Results After treatment, the platelet count and mean arterial pressure of the patients were higher than those before treatment, the alanine aminotransferase, aspartate aminotransferase, total bilirubin, creatinine, creatine kinase isoenzyme,myoglobin,interleukin-6,C-reactive protein levels and Acute Physiology and Chronic Health Evaluation(APACHE Ⅱ)and Sequential Organ Failure Assessment(SOFA)scores were lower than those before treatment, and the prothrombin time was shorter than that before treatment(P<0.05).The hospitalization time of 14 patients was 9-39 d,with an average of(19.4±7.8)d,all patients were improved and discharged after active treatment. Conclusion Hemoperfusion combined with continuous veno-venous hemofiltration has a significantly clinical effect on elderly patients with severe wasp stings and MODS.
