Effect of acupuncture and moxibustion on peripheral facial paralysis and its influences on facial temperature and facial nerve function
Objective To study the effect of acupuncture and moxibustion on peripheral facial paralysis and its influences on facial temperature and facial nerve function. Methods A total of 123 patients with peripheral facial paralysis admitted from February 2018 to February 2020 were retrospectively selected.According to the treatment methods, the patients were divided into acupuncture and moxibustion treatment group(63 cases, acupuncture and moxibustion treatment)and drug treatment group(60 cases, conventional drug treatment). The therapeutic effects of the two groups were compared. Results After treatment, the temperature of the healthy side, the temperature of the affected side and the temperature difference between the two sides in the acupuncture and moxibustion treatment group were lower than those in the drug treatment group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment, the scores of facial nerve function and physical function in the acupuncture and moxibustion treatment group were higher than those in the drug treatment group, the score of social life function was lower than that in the drug treatment group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The total effective rate of treatment and satisfaction of the acupuncture and moxibustion treatment group were higher than those of the drug treatment group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The acupuncture and moxibustion in the treatment of peripheral facial paralysis has significant effect,it can adjust facial temperature and improve facial nerve function, which is worth promoting in clinic.
