Effects of moxibustion combined with wax therapy on pain relief and rehabilitation process in patients with cervical spondylosis
Objective To investigate the effects of moxibustion combined with wax therapy on pain relief and rehabilitation process in patients with cervical spondylosis. Methods A total of 80 patients with cervical spondylosis diagnosed and treated in our hospital from April 2020 to May 2022 were selected as the research objects.According to the order of admission, the patients were divided into reference group and study group by random number table method, with 40 cases in each group. The reference group received routine nursing intervention, and the study group added moxibustion combined with wax therapy intervention on this basis. The intervention effects of the two groups were compared. Results After intervention, the frequency of neck pain and Visual Analogue Scale(VAS)score in the study group were lower than those in the reference group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The total effective rate of intervention in the study group was higher than that of the reference group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After intervention, the score for treatment of cervical spondylosis of the study group was higher than that of the reference group, and the Neck Disability Index(NDI)score was lower than that of the reference group(P<0.05);the hospitalization time of the study group was shorter than that of the reference group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Moxibustion combined with wax therapy in patients with cervical spondylosis has significant application effect, which can obviously relieve the symptoms of neck pain and effectively promote the rehabilitation of patients.
