Effects of orthodontics combined with implant restoration on oral function and aesthetics of patients with malocclusion and dentition defect
Objective To study the effects of orthodontics combined with implant restoration on oral function and aesthetics of patients with malocclusion and dentition defect. Methods A total of 58 patients with malocclusion and dentition defect admitted in our hospital from July 2020 to July 2022 were selected as the research objects, the patients were divided into control group(n=29,implant restoration treatment)and observation group(n=29,orthodontics combined with implant restoration treatment)by random number table method. The therapeutic effects of the two groups were compared. Results The total effective rate of treatment in the observation group was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05).After treatment, the chewing efficiency and bite force of the observation group were better than those of the control group(P<0.05).After treatment, the probing depth(PD)of the observation group was smaller than that of the control group, and the sulcus bleeding index(SBI)and plaque index(PLI)scores were lower than those of the control group(P<0.05).After treatment, the levels of interleukin-2(IL-2),interleukin-6(IL-6)and high sensitive C-reactive protein(hs-CRP)in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).The aesthetic satisfaction of the observation group was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Orthodontics combined with implant restoration has a significant effect on patients with malocclusion and dentition defect,it can ameliorate periodontal condition and inflammatory response, and improve oral function and aesthetic satisfaction, which is worth promoting.
