Effect of Runzao Zhiyang capsule combined with calamine lotion and gabapentin in the treatment of senile skin pruritus and its influences on cytokines
Objective To investigate the effect of Runzao Zhiyang capsule combined with calamine lotion and gabapentin on senile skin pruritus and its influences on cytokines.Methods A total of 90 elderly patients with skin pruritus admitted from June 2022 to June 2023 were selected and randomly divided into control group and combined group,with 45 cases in each group.The control group was treated with calamine lotion+gabapentin,and the combined group was treated with Runzao Zhiyang capsule on the basis of the control group.The therapeutic effects of the two groups were compared.Results After treatment,the scores of pruritus area,pruritus frequency and pruritus duration in the combined group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).After treatment,the levels of interleukin-2(IL-2),interleukin-6(IL-6),C-reactive protein(CRP)and tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α)in the combined group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).After treatment,the levels of stem cell factor(SCF)and dynorphin(DYN)in the combined group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).The total effective rate of treatment in the combined group was 93.33%,which was higher than 77.78%in the control group(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion Runzao Zhiyang capsule combined with calamine lotion and gabapentin has a significant effect in the treatment of elderly patients with skin pruritus,it can improve the degree of pruritus,reduce the levels of cytokines,and has good safety,which is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
