Effect of Mailuo Shutong pills in the treatment of acute stage rheumatoid arthritis and its influences on inflammatory factors,clinical symptoms and VAS score
Objective To explore the effect of Mailuo Shutong pills in the treatment of acute stage rheumatoid arthritis and its influences on inflammatory factors,clinical symptoms and Visual Analogue Scale(VAS)score.Methods A total of 86 patients with acute stage rheumatoid arthritis diagnosed and treated in the Second Affiliated Hospital of Shandong First Medical University from January 2018 to December 2022 were selected as the research objects,and the patients were randomly divided into control group and observation group,with 43 cases in each group.The control group was treated with western medicine,and the observation group was treated with Mailuo Shutong pills on the basis of the control group.The therapeutic effect,levels of inflammatory factors[rheumatoid factor(RF),C-reactive protein(CRP),interleukin-6(IL-6),interleukin-17(IL-17)and tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α)],clinical symptoms and VAS scores before and after treatment were compared between the two groups.Results The total effective rate of treatment in the observation group was 97.67%,which was higher than 83.72%in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Before treatment,there were no significant differences in the levels of RF,CRP,IL-6,IL-17 and TNF-α between the two groups(P>0.05);after treatment,the levels of RF,CRP,IL-6,IL-17 and TNF-α in the observation group were lower than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Before treatment,there were no significant differences in the number of joint swelling,morning stiffness time and VAS score between the two groups(P>0.05);after treatment,the number of joint swelling in the observation group was less than that in the control group,the morning stiffness time was shorter than that in the control group,and the VAS score was lower than that in the control group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Mailuo Shutong Pills in the treatment of patients with acute stage rheumatoid arthritis can not only significantly enhance the clinical effect,but also significantly reduce the levels of inflammatory factors,improve clinical symptoms,and effectively relieve pain,which has a good clinical application prospect.
