Effects of acupuncture and massage combined with rehabilitation therapy on oxidative stress response and motor function in stroke patients with hemiplegia
Objective To investigate the effects of acupuncture and massage combined with rehabilitation therapy on oxidative stress response and motor function in stroke patients with hemiplegia. Methods A total of 80 stroke patients with hemiplegia who were treated in our hospital from December 2021 to December 2022 were selected as the research objects, and the patients were divided into control group and observation group by random number table method, with 40 cases in each group. The control group was treated with rehabilitation therapy, and the observation group was treated with acupuncture and massage on the basis of the control group. The therapeutic effects of the two groups were compared. Results After treatment, the level of superoxide dismutase(SOD)in the observation group was higher than that in the control group, and the level of malonaldehyde(MDA)was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).After treatment, the degree of neurological deficit in the observation group was better than that in the control group(P<0.05).After treatment, the Modified Ashworth Scale(MAS)score of the observation group was lower than that of the control group, and the muscle strength scores of the upper and lower limbs were higher than those of the control group(P<0.05).After treatment, the scores of each dimension of Fugl-Meyer Assessment(FMA)in the observation group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The acupuncture and massage combined with rehabilitation therapy applied in stroke patients with hemiplegia can effectively ameliorate oxidative stress response, reduce the degree of neurological deficit and limb spasm, elevate limb muscle strength, and further improve motor function.
