Effects of Lee Silverman voice intervention on voice disorder and swallowing function in stroke patients with dysphagia
Objective To analyze the effects of Lee Silverman voice intervention on voice disorders and swallowing function in stroke patients with dysphagia.Methods A total of 120 stroke patients with dysphagia admitted from January 2019 to January 2022 were collected and divided into control group and observation group according to the computer random number table method,with 60 cases in each group.The control group was given routine nursing,and the observation group was given Lee Silverman voice intervention on the basis of the control group.The nursing effects of the two groups were compared.Results After 3 months of nursing,the scores of each dimension and total score of Voice Handicap Index(VHI)in the two groups decreased,and those in the observation group were lower than the control group(P<0.05).After 3 months of nursing,the grading of water swallow test in the two groups improved,and that in the observation group was better than the control group(P<0.05).After 3 months of nursing,the scores of Standardized Swallowing Assessment(SSA)and 10-Item Eating Assessment Tool(EAT-10)in the two groups decreased,and the score of Video Fluoroscopic Swallowing Study(VFSS)increased,and those in the observation group were better than the control group(P<0.05).After 3 months of nursing,the score of Eating Disorders Quality of Life Scale(EDQoL)in the two groups decreased,and that in the observation group was lower than the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Lee Silverman voice intervention applied in stroke patients with dysphagia can achieve significant effect.It can not only improve the voice disorder and swallowing function,but also promote the further improvement of the quality of life of patients.
