Application of virtual model surgery in online teaching of orthognathic surgery
Objective To explore the application value of virtual model surgery in online teaching of orthognathic surgery for undergraduates majoring in stomatology.Methods A total of 90 undergraduate students majoring in stomatology from May to November 2020 were selected as the study objects and randomly divided into group A(30 cases,PPT theoretical teaching),group B(30 cases,digital theoretical teaching)and group C(30 cases,digital experimental teaching).The after-school test and Likert scale questionnaire were used to evaluate the teaching effect of the three groups of students.Results There were significant differences in the scores of after-school tests and questionnaire survey among the three groups(F=29.448,74.004,P<0.001);the scores of after-school test and questionnaire survey in the group A were lower than those in the group B and the group C,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.001);there were no significant differences in the scores of after-school test and questionnaire survey between the group B and the group C(P>0.05).Conclusion Introducing the digital orthognathic virtual surgery system into the online teaching of undergraduates is an effective improvement of the undergraduate training method,which is beneficial to the undergraduates'understanding of orthognathic surgery and makes the online teaching work develop in a more scientific and reasonable direction.
