Correlation analysis of clinical characteristics and curative effect of sudden deafness
Objective To explore the correlation of clinical characteristics and curative effect of sudden deafness. Methods A total of 189 patients with unilateral sudden deafness who were hospitalized in the otolaryngology head and neck surgery department,Beijing Road Medical District,Xinjiang Military Region General Hospital from January 2019 to December 2021 were selected. The correlation between different clinical factors and efficacy was analyzed. Results The total effective rate of treatment in sudden deafness patients was 62.4%;there was statistically significant difference in the total effective rate of treatment in patients with different initial diagnosis time(P<0.05).There were no significant differences in the total effective rate of treatment among patients with different treatment time, age of onset, degree of hearing loss, affected ear side, gender and whether they were combined with tinnitus, vertigo and chronic diseases(P>0.05).There were statistically significant differences in the total effective rate of treatment between low-frequency descending type and high-frequency descending type,low-frequency descending type and flat descending type(P<0.05).Conclusion The factors affecting the efficacy of sudden deafness are complex, which may be related to factors such as the initial diagnosis time and the type of hearing threshold curve, but not to gender, treatment time, side of onset, degree of hearing loss, and whether it is accompanied by tinnitus, dizziness, chronic diseases.Early, standardized and comprehensive treatment is very important for sudden deafness. For elderly patients with non-high-frequency descending sudden deafness with chronic diseases, early diagnosis and treatment and effective control of underlying diseases can also achieve good treatment results.
