Effect of closed irrigation indwelling negative pressure drainage combined with whole-process irrigation technique in the treatment of maxillofacial space infection and its influences on sTREM-1 and HMGB-1
Objective To explore the effect of closed irrigation indwelling negative pressure drainage combined with whole-process irrigation technique in the treatment of maxillofacial space infection and its influences on soluble triggering receptor expressed on myeloid cells-1(sTREM-1)and high mobility group box-1 protein(HMGB-1).Methods A total of 90 patients with maxillofacial space infection admitted from May 2020 to May 2022 were selected as the research objects and divided into control group and observation group according to the random number table method, with 45 cases in each group. The control group was treated with traditional incision and drainage, and the observation group was treated with closed irrigation indwelling negative pressure drainage combined with whole-process irrigation technique. The therapeutic effects of the two groups were compared. Results The total effective rate of treatment in the observation group was 93.33%,which was higher than 75.56%in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Before treatment, there were no significant differences in the levels of sTREM-1 and HMGB-1 between the two groups(P>0.05);after treatment, the levels of sTREM-1 and HMGB-1 in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Before treatment, there were no significant differences in abscess diameter, mouth opening degree and Visual Analogue Scale(VAS)score between the two groups(P>0.05);after treatment, the abscess diameter and VAS score of the observation group were lower than those of the control group, and the mouth opening degree was higher than that of the control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Closed irrigation indwelling negative pressure drainage combined with whole-process irrigation technique in the treatment of maxillofacial space infection can not only improve the overall treatment effect, but also reduce the levels of sTREM-1 and HMGB-1,and reduce the degree of swelling, pain and limitation of mouth opening. It is worth promoting.
