Objective To explore the clinical effect of acupoint application of midnight-noon ebb-flow method in the treatment of anxiety-type insomnia.Methods A total of 210 patients with anxiety-type insomnia admitted in Hanzhong Hospital of TCM in Shaanxi Province from May 2022 to May 2023 were selected as the research objects,according to the random number table method,and the patients were divided into blank group(70 cases,without any sleep aid drugs or operation intervention),control group(70 cases,conventional western medicine treatment)and observation group(70 cases,acupoint application with midnight-noon ebb-flow method).The improvement of symptoms,psychological mood,sleep improvement and adverse reactions were compared among the three groups.Results After intervention,the scores of difficulty in falling asleep,dreaminess,palpitation irritability and fatigue in the observation group were lower than those in the blank group,but slightly higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).After intervention,the scores of Self-Rating Anxiety Scale(SAS)and Self-Rating Depression Scale(SDS)in the observation group were lower than those in the blank group,but slightly higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).After intervention,the scores of each dimension of Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI)in the observation group were lower than those in the blank group,but slightly higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).The total incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The acupoint application of midnight-noon ebb-flow method in the treatment of anxiety-type insomnia can alleviate the symptoms of patients to a certain extent,improve psychological mood and sleep status,and has high safety.
