Effect of Mulligan dynamic joint mobilization combined with back-shu point penetration needling Jiaji point on the quality of life of patients with lumbar disc herniation
Objective To explore the effect of Mulligan dynamic joint mobilization combined with back-shu point penetration needling Jiaji point on the quality of life of patients with lumbar disc herniation(LDH).Methods A total of 80 LDH patients who were treated with appropriate manipulation in the rehabilitation medicine department from January to December 2021 were selected as the research objects, and the patients were randomly divided into control group and observation group, with 40 cases in each group. Both groups were treated with conventional lumbar massage and interference electrotherapy, the control group was treated with back-shu point penetration needling Jiaji point, the observation group was treated with Mulligan dynamic joint mobilization on the basis of the control group. The therapeutic effects of the two groups were compared. Results After treatment, the Pain Rating Index(PRI),Visual Analogue Scale(VAS)and Present Pain Intensity(PPI)scores of the two groups were lower than those before treatment, and those of the observation group were lower than the control group(P<0.05).After treatment, the Japanese Orthopaedic Association Scores(JOA)score of the two groups was higher than that before treatment, the Chinese Oswestry Disability Index(CODI)score was lower than that before treatment, and those of the observation group were better than the control group(P<0.05).After treatment, the scores of each dimension of the MOS 36-Item Short Form Health Survey(SF-36)in the two groups were higher than those before treatment, and those in the observation group were higher than the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Mulligan dynamic joint mobilization combined with back-shu point penetration needling Jiaji point can alleviate the symptoms of lumbar pain and discomfort in LDH patients, improve lumbar function and elevate the quality of life.
