Effects of IKAP mode nursing intervention on compliance behavior and quality of life in patients with spinal cord injury
Objective To explore the effects of information-knowledge-attitude-practice(IKAP)model nursing intervention on compliance behavior and quality of life in patients with spinal cord injury.Methods A total of 118 patients with spinal cord injury admitted in our hospital from January 2022 to January 2023 were selected and divided into control group and study group according to the random number table method,with 59 cases in each group.The control group received routine nursing intervention,and the study group received IKAP mode nursing intervention on the basis of routine nursing.The intervention effects of the two groups were compared.Results The compliance rate of the study group was 93.22%,which was higher than 74.58%of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After intervention,the scores of Self-Rating Depression Scale(SDS)and Self-Rating Anxiety Scale(SAS)in the study group were lower than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After intervention,the Activities of Daily Living(ADL)and World Health Organization on Quality of Life Brief Scale(WHOQOL-BREF)scores of the study group were higher than those of the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The nursing satisfaction of the study group was 96.61%,which was higher than 72.88%of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion IKAP mode nursing intervention can improve the psychological state of patients with spinal cord injury,elevate compliance behavior,daily living ability and quality of life,and enhance nursing satisfaction.
