Comparison of the clinical effect of quadruple regimen and azithromycin in the treatment of acute bronchitis in children
Objective To compare the clinical effect of quadruple regimen and azithromycin in the treatment of acute bronchitis in children. Methods A total of 68 children with acute bronchitis admitted from January 2021 to June 2022 were selected as the research objects.According to different treatment schemes, the children were divided into control group(34 cases, azithromycin treatment)and study group(34 cases, quadruple regimen of terbutaline+budesonide+ipratropium bromide+azithromycin). The therapeutic effects of the two groups were compared. Results The improvement time of cough, fever, sputum, shortness of breath/asthma and pulmonary rales in the study group were shorter than those in the control group(P<0.05).After treatment, the forced vital capacity(FVC),lung compliance, peak expiratory flow(PEF)and total lung capacity(TLC)in the study group were significantly higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).After treatment, the levels of eosinophil cationic protein(ECP),interleukin-8(IL-8),interleukin-17A(IL-17A)and high mobility group box 1 protein(HMGB1)in the study group were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The total effective rate of treatment in the study group was significantly higher than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The quadruple regimen in the treatment of acute bronchitis in children has definite clinical effect,it can control the levels of inflammatory cytokines and promote the prognosis of children, and has certain clinical application value.
