Application effect of ultrasound-guided brachial plexus block anesthesia in elderly patients with upper limb fracture surgery
Objective To explore the application effect of ultrasound-guided brachial plexus block anesthesia in elderly patients with upper limb fracture surgery. Methods The clinical data of 50 elderly patients with upper limb fractures who underwent surgical treatment in our hospital from January 2021 to December 2022 were retrospectively analyzed. The patients were divided into control group and study group according to different anesthesia methods, with 25 cases in each group. The control group was given brachial plexus block anesthesia by blind exploration, and the study group was given ultrasound-guided brachial plexus block anesthesia. The anesthetic effects of the two groups were compared. Results The excellent and good rate of anesthesia in the study group was 100.00%,which was higher than 84.00%in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).At 10 and 30 min after anesthesia, the heart rate(HR)and mean arterial pressure(MAP)of the two groups were lower than those before anesthesia(P<0.05);at 10,30 min of anesthesia and at the end of operation, the HR and MAP of the study group were higher than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The onset time of block in the study group was shorter than that in the control group, and the duration of analgesia was longer than that in the control group, and the dosage of anesthesia drugs was less than that in the control group(P<0.05).The total incidence of adverse reactions in the study group was 4.00%,which was lower than 20.00%in the control group(P<0.05).The anesthesia satisfaction of the study group was 100.00%,which was higher than 76.00%of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The ultrasound-guided brachial plexus block anesthesia in elderly patients with upper limb fracture surgery has a significant anesthetic effect, with a fast onset time and the ability to maintain stable hemodynamic indicators, effectively reducing the incidence of adverse reactions, which is worthy of clinical promotion.
