Correlation between serum GP73 and liver function and liver fibrosis indexes in patients with chronic hepatitis B
Objective To analyze the correlation between serum Golgi protein 73(GP73)and liver function and liver fibrosis indexes in patients with chronic hepatitis B(CHB).Methods A total of 93 patients with CHB admitted in the Yan'an University Affiliated Hospital from January to June 2023 were selected as the research objects.According to the severity of the disease, the patients were divided into mild group(41 cases),moderate group(32 cases)and severe group(20 cases). The serological indexes, liver function indexes and liver fibrosis indexes of all research objects were detected.Pearson correlation analysis was used to analyze the correlation between serum GP73,soluble growth stimulation expressed gene 2 protein(sST2),chemokine ligand-13(CXCL-13),interleukin-18(IL-18)and liver function and liver fibrosis indexes in CHB patients. Results The levels of serum GP73,sST2,CXCL-13 and IL-18 in the mild group, moderate group and severe group showed a gradually increasing trend, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The levels of alanine aminotransferase(ALT),aspartate aminotransferase(AST)and gamma-glutamyltransferase(GGT)in the mild group, moderate group and severe group showed a gradually increasing trend, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The levels of laminin(LN),hyaluronic acid(HA),type Ⅲ procollagen(PC-Ⅲ)and typeⅣ collagen(Ⅳ-C)in the mild group, moderate group and severe group showed a gradually increasing trend, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Pearson correlation analysis showed that the levels of serum GP73,sST2,CXCL-13 and IL-18 in CHB patients were positively correlated with the levels of liver function and liver fibrosis indexes(P<0.05).Conclusion The increase of serum GP73,sST2,CXCL-13 and IL-18 levels in CHB patients will lead to the aggravation of liver function damage and promote liver fibrosis, which is expected to be a reliable biomarker for the diagnosis of CHB and the assessment of the severity of the disease.
