Effect of endoscopic tympanoplasty combined with Qufu Shengji powder for external use in the treatment of chronic otitis media complicated with tympanic membrane perforation
Objective To explore the effect of endoscopic tympanoplasty combined with Qufu Shengji powder for external use in the treatment of chronic otitis media complicated with tympanic membrane perforation.Methods A total of 100 patients with chronic otitis media complicated with tympanic membrane perforation admitted in our hospital from July 2019 to July 2021 were selected as the research objects.According to the random number table method,the patients were divided into control group and study group,with 50 cases in each group.The control group received endoscopic tympanoplasty+conventional drug treatment,and the study group was treated with Qufu Shengji powder for external use on the basis of the control group.The therapeutic effects of the two groups were compared.Results After treatment,the air conduction threshold,air-bone conduction difference and Tinnitus Handicap Inventory(THI)score in the study group were lower than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05);the healing rate of tympanic membrane perforation in the study group was higher than that in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Three months after treatment,the levels of leukotriene D4(LTD4),matrix metalloproteinase-2(MMP-2)and matrix metalloproteinase-9(MMP-9)in the study group were lower than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Three months after treatment,the scores of otitis media symptoms,subjective hearing level,social psychological impact and medical resource use in the study group were lower than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The total incidence of complications in the study group was lower than that in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Endoscopic tympanoplasty combined with Qufu Shengji powder for external use in the treatment of chronic otitis media complicated with tympanic membrane perforation can achieve ideal results and help to improve the quality of life of patients.
