Effect of innovative graphic health education on self-management ability of patients with osteoporotic fracture
Objective To explore the effect of innovative graphic health education on self-management ability of patients with osteoporotic fracture. Methods A total of 160 patients with osteoporotic fracture admitted in our hospital from January to December 2018 were selected as the study objects and randomly divided into control group and observation group, with 80 cases in each group. The control group was given routine nursing, and the observation group was given innovative graphic health education on the basis of the control group. The self-management ability,self-care ability, basic knowledge of disease and the occurrence of re-fracture of the two groups were compared. Results The scores of health self-management behavior, health self-management cognition and health self-management environment in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The self-care ability of the observation group was significantly better than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The scores of osteoporosis risk factors, exercise knowledge and calcium knowledge in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After 6 months of follow-up after discharge, there were 2 cases(2.50%)of re-fracture in the observation group and 5 cases(6.25%)in the control group, the incidence of re-fracture in the observation group was slightly lower than that in the control group, but the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).Conclusion Innovative graphic health education can improve the self-management ability,self-care ability,disease-related knowledge of patients with osteoporotic fracture, and reduce the incidence of re-fracture.It is worthy of clinical application and promotion.
