Analysis of diagnosis and treatment of 5 cases of parathyroid adenoma
Objective To analyze the genius morbi of 5 patients with parathyroid adenoma(PA)in order to improve clinical diagnosis and treatment ability for this disease. Methods The general data, clinical manifestations, laboratory findings and imaging findings of 5 patients diagnosed with PA from January 2021 to July 2022 were retrospectively analyzed. Results All 5 patients were female, aged 28-67 years. On admission, serum calcium level[(2.92±0.18)mmol/L]increased,serum phosphorus level[(0.73±0.12)mmol/L]decreased,parathyroid hormone(PTH)level[(161.30±68.00)pg/mL]significantly increased, and vitamin D level[(11.00±4.60)μg/L]was deficient. All patients were single parathyroid lesions.Four patients underwent PA resection in our hospital, and PTH and serum calcium were normal after operation. Conclusion Middle-aged and elderly women with dry mouth, fatigue symptoms, combined with multiple urinary calculi, should pay attention to check the blood calcium, and then check whether there is PA;the examination of parathyroid emission computed tomography(ECT)is an effective examination method for the diagnosis of primary hyperparathyroidism.
