Effect of metoprolol succinate sustained-release tablets in the treatment of patients with hypertension complicated with heart failure and its influence on cardiac function
Objective To analyze the effect of metoprolol succinate sustained-release tablets in the treatment of patients with hypertension complicated with heart failure and its influence on cardiac function. Methods A total of 100 patients with hypertension complicated with heart failure admitted from January 2020 to December 2022 were selected as the research objects, the patients were divided into control group(50 cases, routine treatment)and experimental group(50 cases, routine treatment+metoprolol succinate sustained-release tablets)by random method. The therapeutic effects of the two groups were compared. Results The total effective rate of treatment in the experimental group was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05).After treatment, the left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF)in the experimental group was higher than that in the control group, and the left ventricular end-systolic diameter(LVESD),left ventricular end-systolic volume(LVESV),left ventricular end-diastolic volume(LVEDV),systolic blood pressure(SBP)and diastolic blood pressure(DBP)were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).After treatment, the levels of cardiac troponin T(cTnT),soluble growth stimulation expressed gene 2 protein(sST2),heart-type fatty acid-binding protein(H-FABP),C-reactive protein(CRP)and intercellular adhesion molecule-1(ICAM-1)in the experimental group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the total incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion Metoprolol succinate sustained-release tablets can achieve ideal effect in the treatment of patients with hypertension complicated with heart failure.
