Effect of volar locking plate in the treatment of distal radius fracture and its influence on wrist joint reduction
Objective To investigate the effect of volar locking plate in the treatment of distal radius fracture and its influence on wrist joint reduction.Methods A total of 80 patients with distal radius fracture admitted in our hospital from June 2018 to June 2022 were selected as the research objects.The patients were divided into control group and observation group by random number method,with 40 cases in each group.The control group was treated with conventional manipulative reduction and plaster external fixation,and the observation group was treated with volar locking plate.The therapeutic effects of the two groups were compared.Results The excellent and good rate of treatment in the observation group was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05).At 6 months after operation,the ulnar deviation angle and palmar inclination angle of the observation group were larger than those of the control group,and the radius height was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).At 6 months after operation,the levels of interleukin-6(IL-6),interleukin-8(IL-8)and C-reactive protein(CRP)in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the total incidence of complications between the two groups(P>0.05).At 6 months after operation,the scores of each dimension of Generic Quality of Life Inventory-74(GQOL-74)in the observation group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The volar locking plate in the treatment of distal radius fracture can improve the therapeutic effect,reduce the inflammatory response,ameliorate the wrist joint reduction,and promote the quality of life of patients,which is worth promoting.
