Application effect of 3D printed digital implant guide assisted implant restoration in patients with dentition defect
Objective To investigate the effects of 3D printed digital implant guide assisted implant restoration on dental implant quality, implant accuracy, occlusion and prognosis in patients with dentition defect. Methods The clinical data of 70 patients with dentition defect admitted in the hospital from January 2018 to December 2021 were retrospectively analyzed.According to the method of implant restoration, the patients were divided into control group and observation group, with 35 cases in each group. The control group was treated with conventional implant restoration scheme, and the observation group was treated with 3D printed digital implant guide assisted implant restoration scheme. The dental implant quality, implant accuracy, masticatory efficiency, occlusal ability, probing depth(PD),plaque index(PLI)score, and Oral Health Impact Profile-14(OHIP-14)score were compared between the two groups. Results The success rate of implantation in the observation group was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05).The vertical and horizontal errors of the top and root ends of the observation group were smaller than those of the control group(P<0.05).Before and after treatment, there were no significant differences in masticatory efficiency and occlusal force between the two groups(P>0.05).The PD of the observation group was lower than that of the control group, and the PLI score was lower than that of the control group(P<0.05);after treatment, the OHIP-14 score of the observation group was lower than that of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The 3D printed digital implant guide assisted implant restoration in the treatment of dentition defect has significant effect, which can improve the implant accuracy, success rate of implantation and periodontal prognosis, and will not adversely affect the recovery of postoperative occlusal ability.
