Effect of Xuesaitong combined with betahistine on hemodynamics of vertebrobasilar artery in patients with posterior circulation ischemic vertigo
Objective To investigate the effect of Xuesaitong combined with betahistine on hemodynamics of vertebrobasilar artery in patients with posterior circulation ischemic vertigo. Methods A total of 80 patients with posterior circulation ischemic vertigo admitted in the neurology department of Xi'an Tangcheng Hospital from January 2021 to December 2022 were selected as the research objects, and the patients were divided into conventional group(40 cases, betahistine)and observation group(40 cases,Xuesaitong combined with betahistine)according to different medication regimens. The therapeutic effects of the two groups were compared. Results The total effective rate of treatment in the observation group was higher than that in the conventional group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment, the plasma viscosity(PV),whole blood viscosity(WBV),platelet aggregation rate(PAR)and hematocrit(HCT)in the observation group were lower than those in the conventional group(P<0.05).After treatment, the maximum blood flow velocity(Vmax),minimum blood flow velocity(Vmin),mean blood flow(Qmean)of vertebrobasilar artery and calcitonin generelated peptide(CGRP)level in the observation group were higher than those in the conventional group, and the peripheral resistance(RV)and endothelin-1(ET-1)level were lower than those in the conventional group(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the total incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05);after 1 year of follow-up,the recurrence rate of the observation group was significantly lower than that of the conventional group(P<0.05).Conclusion Xuesaitong combined with betahistine can effectively regulate the hemorheological indexes and the hemodynamic indexes of vertebrobasilar artery of patients with posterior circulation ischemic vertigo, improve the blood circulation of the body, and achieve safe and efficient ideal results.
