Effects of enteral nutrition intervention within 24 h after operation on immune function and gastrointestinal function in patients undergoing pancreaticoduodenectomy
Objective To investigate the effects of enteral nutrition intervention within 24 h after operation on immune function and gastrointestinal function in patients undergoing pancreaticoduodenectomy. Methods A total of 80 patients who underwent pancreaticoduodenectomy in our hospital from February 2022 to February 2023 were selected as the study objects. The patients were divided into control group and observation group according to the random number table method, with 40 cases in each group. The control group received enteral nutrition intervention within 48 h after operation, and the observation group received enteral nutrition intervention within 24 h after operation. The immune function indexes, inflammatory factors, recovery time of gastrointestinal function and nutrition related indexes of the two groups were compared. Results After intervention, the CD3+,CD4+and CD4+/CD8+in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, the CD8+,tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α),interleukin-6(IL-6)and C-reactive protein(CRP)levels were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The first anal exhaust time, first feeding time, bowel sound recovery time, nasointestinal nutrition tube removal time and first defecation time of the observation group were shorter than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After intervention, the levels of albumin(ALB),prealbumin(PAB),transferrin(TF)and total protein(TP)in the two groups increased, those in the observation group were higher than the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Enteral nutrition intervention within 24 h after operation can improve the immune function and gastrointestinal function of patients undergoing pancreaticoduodenectomy, reduce inflammation and regulate nutritional status, which is worthy of promotion and application in clinical practice.
