Objective To explore the clinical effect of painless gastroscopy in the treatment of upper gastrointestinal foreign bodies in children and its influences on the success rate of foreign body removal, hemodynamic indexes and stress indexes. Methods A total of 50 children with upper gastrointestinal foreign bodies admitted in Yancheng No.1 People's Hospital from January 2022 to January 2024 were selected as the research objects and randomly divided into control group and observation group, with 25 cases in each group. The control group was treated with conventional gastroscopy, and the observation group was treated with painless gastroscopy. The success rate of foreign body removal, hemodynamic indexes, stress indexes and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results The success rate of foreign body removal in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Before treatment, there were no significant differences in mean arterial pressure(MAP),heart rate(HR)and pulse oxygen saturation(SpO2)between the two groups(P>0.05);after treatment, the MAP,HR and SpO2 in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Before treatment, there were no significant differences in the levels of cortisol(Cor),norepinephrine(NE)and epinephrine(E)between the two groups(P>0.05);after treatment, the levels of Cor,NE and E in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The total incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Painless gastroscopy in the treatment of upper gastrointestinal foreign bodies in children has a significant effect,it can improve the success rate of foreign body removal, stabilize the vital signs of children, and reduce the occurrence of adverse reactions, which is worthy of clinical reference and promotion.
