Effect of intermittent nasal feeding,swallowing technique training combined with neuromuscular electrical stimulation therapy instrument on functional recovery of stroke patients with dysphagia
Objective To explore the effect of intermittent nasal feeding,swallowing technique training combined with neuromuscular electrical stimulation therapy instrument on functional recovery of stroke patients with dysphagia.Methods A total of 80 stroke with dysphagia patients admitted in our hospital from January 2022 to January 2023 were selected as the research objects and divided into control group and observation group by random number table method,with 40 cases in each group.The control group was given routine nasal feeding and rehabilitation nursing,while the observation group was given intermittent nasal feeding,swallowing technique training combined with neuromuscular electrical stimulation therapy instrument on the basis of routine nursing.The intervention effects of the two groups were compared.Results After intervention,the levels of hemoglobin(Hb),albumin(ALB)and total protein(TP)in the observation group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).After intervention,the hyoid bone upward and hyoid bone forward distances in the observation group were longer than those in the control group(P<0.05).After intervention,the Standardized Swallowing Assessment(SSA)score of the observation group was lower than that of the control group,and the Swallowing Quality of Life Questionnaire(SWAL-QOL)score was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).After intervention,the levels of neuron specific enolase(NSE)and neuropeptide Y(NPY)in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Intermittent nasal feeding,swallowing technique training combined with neuromuscular electrical stimulation therapy instrument can improve the nutritional status,hyoid-laryngeal complex mobility and swallowing function of stroke with dysphagia patients,elevate the quality of life,and promote the recovery of neurological function.
