Effect of oseltamivir combined with mechanical ventilation in the treatment of respiratory virus infection and respiratory failure and its influences on blood gas analysis indexes
Objective To explore the effect of oseltamivir combined with mechanical ventilation on respiratory virus infection and respiratory failure and its influences on blood gas analysis indexes. Methods A total of 82 patients with respiratory virus infection and respiratory failure who were treated from January 2020 to June 2022 were selected as the study objects. The patients were divided into group A and group B by random number table method, with 41 cases in each group. The group A was treated with ribavirin combined with mechanical ventilation, and the group B was treated with oseltamivir combined with mechanical ventilation. The clinical efficacy, symptom disappearance time, blood gas analysis indexes and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results The total effective rate of treatment in the group B was higher than that in the group A,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The disappearance time of fever, fatigue, dry and wet rales and sore throat in the group B were shorter than those in the group A,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05);there was no significant difference in the disappearance time of dyspnea between the two groups(P>0.05).After treatment, the arterial partial pressure of oxygen(PaO2)in both groups increased, and the arterial partial pressure of carbon dioxide(PaCO2)decreased,and those in the group B were better than the group A,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The total incidence of adverse reactions in the group B was lower than that in the group A,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The oseltamivir combined with mechanical ventilation in the treatment of respiratory virus infection and respiratory failure can significantly enhance the clinical efficacy, shorten the time of symptom disappearance, improve the blood gas analysis indexes and reduce the adverse reactions. It is worthy of application and promotion in clinical practice.
