Application effect of bone cement polyethylene lining technology in revision total hip arthroplasty
Objective To analyze the application effect of bone cement polyethylene lining technology in revision total hip arthroplasty. Methods The clinical data of 72 patients who underwent revision total hip arthroplasty from January 2018 to January 2021 were retrospectively analyzed.According to the difference of surgical methods, the patients were divided into control group(n=32)and observation group(n=40).The control group was treated with simple replacement of polyethylene lining, and the observation group was treated with bone cement polyethylene lining technology. The clinical effects of the two groups were compared. Results At 1 week after operation,1,3,6,12 months after operation and at the last follow-up,the Harris scores of the two groups were higher than those before operation, and the Visual Analogue Scale(VAS)scores were lower than those before operation(P<0.05).At the last follow-up,the acetabular cup abduction angle of the observation group was smaller than that of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Bone cement polyethylene lining technology in the treatment of revision total hip arthroplasty can significantly improve the patients'hip joint function and reduce the degree of pain. The effect is equivalent to the effect of simple replacement of polyethylene lining, and the acetabular cup abduction change is small, with high stability and safety.
