Pathological types of lung cancer and their relationship with CT signs in elderly patients over 75 years old
Objective To analyze the pathological types of lung cancer and their relationship with CT signs in elderly patients over 75 years old. Methods The pathological and CT imaging data of 93 elderly patients with lung cancer from July 2021 to June 2023 were retrospectively analyzed.According to age,the elderly patients were divided into elderly group(n=45,>75 years old)and young group(n=48,60-75 years old). The pathological types of the two groups were compared;and the relationship between pathological types and CT signs was analyzed. Results The proportion of squamous cell carcinoma in the elderly group was higher than that in the young group, and the proportion of adenocarcinoma was lower than that in the young group(P<0.05);there were no significant differences in the proportion of small cell carcinoma and other pathological types between the two groups(P>0.05).There were statistically significant differences in the proportion of ground glass sign, cavity formation, lobulation sign and vacuole sign between squamous cell carcinoma and adenocarcinoma(P<0.05);there were no significant differences in the proportion of calcification and burr sign between squamous cell carcinoma and adenocarcinoma(P>0.05).Conclusion Pathological type in elderly lung cancer patients over 75 years old is mainly squamous cell carcinoma, which is closely related to CT signs such as ground glass sign, cavity formation, lobulation sign and vacuole sign.
