Effects of Teach-back method health education combined with rehabilitation training on limb balance ability of stroke patients and fall prevention knowledge and behavior of caregivers
Objective To explore the effects of Teach-back method health education combined with rehabilitation training on limb balance ability of stroke patients and fall prevention knowledge and behavior of caregivers. Methods A total of 110 stroke patients admitted from June 2020 to June 2022 were selected as the research objects.According to the difference of nursing methods, the patients were divided into control group and observation group, with 55 cases in each group. The control group was given routine health education combined with rehabilitation training, and the observation group was given Teach-back method health education combined with rehabilitation training. The intervention effects of the two groups were compared. Results After intervention, the scores of active behavior and rehabilitation nursing cooperation in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, and the score of giving up behavior was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).After intervention, the Berg Balance Scale(BBS)score and Holden grade of the observation group were higher than those of the control group(P<0.05).After intervention, the levels of neuron-specific enolase(NSE)and high sensitivity C-reactive protein(hs-CRP)in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).After intervention, the scores of fall prevention knowledge and behavior of caregivers in the observation group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Teach-back method health education combined with rehabilitation training can improve the rehabilitation exercise compliance of stroke patients, promote the improvement of balance ability and walking function, regulate the levels of nerve-related factors and inflammatory factors, and also improve the fall prevention knowledge and behavior of caregivers to ensure the safety of patients.
