Analysis of HPV vaccination status and influencing factors among young people aged 15-26 years in Shaoguan city
Objective To investigate the human papillomavirus(HPV)vaccination status and influencing factors among young people aged 15-26 years in Shaoguan city.Methods The convenient sampling method was used to investigate young people aged 15-26 years in Shaoguan city.The survey included demographic characteristics,HPV and vaccine awareness,HPV vaccination status and behavioral attitudes.Binary Logistic regression analysis was used to explore the influencing factors of HPV vaccination among women aged 15-26 years in Shaoguan city.Results A total of 1 005 valid questionnaires were collected,with an effective recovery rate of 92.5%.A total of 198(27.9%)women have been vaccinated against HPV.The results of binary Logistic regression analysis showed that 23-26 years old,parents'education level of college and above,sexual life history,parents'support for vaccination,and satisfaction with the publicity of HPV vaccine in the community were the protective factors for HPV vaccination among women aged 15-26 in Shaoguan city(P<0.05).Conclusion The HPV vaccination rate of women aged 15-26 years in Shaoguan city is low;it is necessary to focus on the knowledge,attitude and practice of HPV and vaccine among young people(especially men)in transition,and strengthen the publicity and education of HPV and vaccine related knowledge in this group;women of childbearing age are encouraged to receive HPV vaccination as early as possible.
