Effect of helical tomotherapy combined with cisplatin chemotherapy and three-dimensional afterloading intracavitary radiotherapy in the treatment of locally advanced cervical cancer
Objective To investigate the effect of helical tomotherapy combined with cisplatin chemotherapy and three-dimensional afterloading intracavitary radiotherapy in the treatment of locally advanced cervical cancer. Methods A total of 62 patients with locally advanced cervical cancer admitted in our hospital from October 2020 to October 2022 were selected and divided into two-dimensional group and three-dimensional group according to different treatment schemes, with 31 cases in each group. The two-dimensional group was treated with helical tomotherapy+cisplatin chemotherapy+two-dimensional afterloading intracavitary radiotherapy, and the three-dimensional group was treated with helical tomotherapy+cisplatin chemotherapy+three-dimensional afterloading intracavitary radiotherapy. The therapeutic effects of the two groups were compared. Results There was no significant difference in the total effective rate of treatment between the two groups(P>0.05).After treatment, the CD4+,CD4+/CD8+,immunoglobulin A(IgA),immunoglobulin G(IgG)and immunoglobulin M(IgM)levels in the three-dimensional group were higher than those in the two-dimensional group, and CD8+was lower than that in the two-dimensional group(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the total incidence of early adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05);the total incidence of late adverse reactions in the three-dimensional group was significantly lower than that in the two-dimensional group(P<0.05).Conclusion Helical tomotherapy combined with cisplatin chemotherapy and three-dimensional afterloading intracavitary radiotherapy is effective in the treatment of patients with locally advanced cervical cancer, which can reduce the damage to the immune function of patients and decrease the incidence of late adverse reactions.
