Effect of orthodontics combined with periodontal tissue regeneration in the treatment of periodontitis and its influence on periodontal health status
Objective To analyze the effect of orthodontics combined with periodontal tissue regeneration in the treatment of periodontitis and its influence on periodontal health status. Methods A total of 80 patients with periodontitis admitted from January to December 2020 were selected as the research objects.According to the difference of treatment plan, the patients were divided into conventional group(40 cases, periodontal tissue regeneration)and observation group(40 cases, orthodontics combined with periodontal tissue regeneration). The therapeutic effects of the two groups were compared. Results After treatment, the periodontal depth(PD),attachment loss(AL),gingival index(GI),sulcus bleeding index(SBI)and plaque index(PLI)in the observation group were lower than those in the conventional group(P<0.05).After treatment, the levels of prostaglandin E2(PGE2),tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α),interleukin-6(IL-6)and interleukin-8(IL-8)in the observation group were lower than those in the conventional group(P<0.05).After treatment, the angle of sella-nasion-supramental(SNB)and angle of sella-nasion-subsipmale(SNA)in the observation group were smaller than those in the conventional group(P<0.05).The disappearance time of periodontitis symptoms in the observation group was shorter than that in the conventional group, and the incidences of incision cracking, gingival sensitivity and gingival tissue swelling and pain were lower than those in the conventional group(P<0.05).Conclusion Orthodontics combined with periodontal tissue regeneration in the treatment of periodontitis has significant effect.
