Effect of intratympanic injection of dexamethasone and ambroxol hydrochloride combined with endoscopic tympanic membrane catheterization in the treatment of secretory otitis media and its influence on eustachian tube function
Objective To investigate the clinical effect of intratympanic injection of dexamethasone and ambroxol hydrochloride combined with endoscopic tympanic membrane catheterization in the treatment of secretory otitis media.Methods A total of 80 patients with secretory otitis media admitted in our hospital from October 2020 to October 2022 were selected as the research objects.The patients were divided into control group(endoscopic tympanic membrane catheterization)and observation group(intratympanic injection of dexamethasone and ambroxol hydrochloride combined with endoscopic tympanic membrane catheterization)by random number table method,with 40 cases in each group.The therapeutic effects of the two groups were compared.Results The total effective rate of treatment in the observation group was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05).After treatment,the tympanic pressure and speech frequency air conduction hearing threshold in the observation group were better than those in the control group(P<0.05).After treatment,the Eustachian Tube Dysfunction Questionnaire-7(ETDQ-7)score in the observation group was lower than that in the control group,and the Eustachian Tube Score(ETS)score was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05).After treatment,the levels of interleukin-2(I L-2),interleukin-10(IL-10)and interferon-γ(IFN-γ)in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).After treatment,the levels of hyaluronic acid(HA)and platelet activating factor(PAF)in the observation group were lower than those in the control group,and the level of fibronectin(FN)was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Intratympanic injection of dexamethasone and ambroxol hydrochloride combined with endoscopic tympanic membrane catheterization is effective in the treatment of secretory otitis media.It can improve the function of eustachian tube,reduce the body's inflammatory response and decrease vascular permeability.
