Effects of trigen InterTAN hip fracture nailing system and proximal femoral nail antirotation in the treatment of elderly patients with intertrochanteric fracture and their influences on bone metabolism indexes
Objective To compare the effects of trigen InterTAN hip fracture nailing system(InterTAN)and proximal femoral nail antirotation(PFNA)in the treatment of elderly patients with intertrochanteric fracture. Methods A total of 80 elderly patients with intertrochanteric fracture admitted in our hospital from January 2021 to May 2023 were selected as the research objects.According to different surgical schemes, they were divided into control group and study group, with 40 cases in each group. The control group was given PFNA treatment, and the study group was given InterTAN treatment. The perioperative indexes, bone metabolism indexes,Harris hip function scale score and postoperative complication were compared between the two groups. Results The hospitalization time and fracture healing time of the study group were shorter than those of the control group(P<0.05).Three months after operation, the levels of procollagen type Ⅰ N-terminal propeptide(PⅠNP),bone glaprotein(BGP),25-hydroxyvitamin D3[25-(OH)D3]and Harris hip function scale score in the study group were higher than those in the control group, and the level of C-telopeptide of type Ⅰ collagen(CTX-Ⅰ)was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).The total incidence of postoperative complications in the study group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion PFNA and InterTAN have good therapeutic effects on elderly patients with intertrochanteric fracture, but InterTAN surgical plan is more conducive to promoting postoperative rehabilitation of patients, which is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
