Effects of dexmedetomidine on hemodynamics and awakening process during extubation in patients underwent general anesthesia for abdominal surgery
Objective To analyze the effects of dexmedetomidine on the hemodynamics and awakening process during extubation in patients underwent general anesthesia for abdominal surgery. Methods A total of 104 patients underwent general anesthesia for abdominal surgery admitted in our hospital from January to December 2022 were included as the study objects.According to the difference of anesthesia scheme, the patients were divided into conventional group(52 cases, normal saline was applied at 30 min before the end of surgery)and observation group(52 cases, dexmedetomidine was applied at 30 min before the end of surgery). The intervention effects of the two groups were compared. Results When entering the room(T0),there was no significant difference in heart rate(HR)between the two groups(P>0.05);after 5 min of anesthesia medication(T1)-after 10 minutes of extubation(T5),HR of the observation group was significantly lower than that of the conventional group(P<0.05);T0-T1,there were no significant differences in systolic blood pressure(SBP)and diastolic blood pressure(DBP)between the two groups(P>0.05);after 10 min of anesthesia medication(T2)-T5,SBP and DBP in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the conventional group(P<0.05);T0,there were no significant differences in mean artery pressure(MAP)and central venous pressure(CVP)between the two groups(P>0.05);T1-T5,MAP and CVP of the observation group were significantly higher than those of the conventional group(P<0.05);T0-T5,there was no significant difference in bispectral index(BIS)between the two groups(P>0.05).The respiratory recovery time, eye opening time according to instructions and extubation time in the observation group were shorter than those in the conventional group, and the Visual Analogue Scale(VAS)score at 2 h after operation and the total incidence of adverse reactions during extubation were lower than those in the conventional group(P<0.05).Conclusion Dexmedetomidine can stabilize the hemodynamics during extubation, shorten the recovery process and reduce adverse reactions while ensuring the anesthetic effect in patients underwent general anesthesia for abdominal surgery.
