Improvement effect of differential defocus design lens on abnormal ocular parameters in school-age children with myopia
Objective To explore and analyze the improvement effect of differential defocus design lens on abnormal ocular parameters in school-age children with myopia.Methods A total of 160 school-age children with myopia treated from January 2020 to December 2022 were selected to carry out the experiment.The children were divided into multi-zone forward group and special peripheral group by random number table method,with 80 cases in each group.The multi-zone forward group were accepted the multi-zone forward defocus design lens,and the special peripheral group were accepted the special peripheral defocus design lens.The wearing effects of the two groups were compared.Results After wearing,the spherical equivalent of the multi-zone forward group was higher than that of the special peripheral group,while the axial length was shorter than that of the special peripheral group,the corneal curvature was lower than that of the special peripheral group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After wearing,the diopter of different meridians in the multi-zone forward group were lower than those in the special peripheral group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After wearing,the spherical equivalent of the children aged 11-14 years in the multi-zone forward group was higher than that of the children aged 7-10 years,while the axial length was shorter than that of the children aged 7-10 years,the corneal curvature was lower than that of the children aged 7-10 years,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After wearing,there were no significant differences in spherical equivalent,axial length and corneal curvature between children of different ages in the special peripheral group(P>0.05).Conclusion The multi-zone forward defocus design lens is beneficial to improve the abnormal ocular parameters of school-age children with myopia and prevent the increase of diopter,and the improvement effect of the 11-14 years old myopic children is better than that of the 7-10 years old.
