Changes and clinical significance of serum tumor markers, pepsinogenⅠand pepsinogenⅡlevels in patients with different TNM stages after radical gastrectomy for gastric cancer
Objective To analyze the changes and clinical significance of serum tumor markers, pepsinogen Ⅰ(PGⅠ)and pepsinogen Ⅱ(PGⅡ)levels in patients with different TNM stages after radical gastrectomy for gastric cancer. Methods From January 2020 to December 2021,62 patients with radical gastrectomy for gastric cancer admitted in Xi'an International Medical Center Hospital were selected as the research objects.According to TNM staging, the patients were divided into 10 cases of stage I,32 cases of stage Ⅱ,15 cases of stage Ⅲ and 5 cases of stage Ⅳ.The levels of serum tumor markers[carcinoembryonic antigen(CEA),carbohydrate antigen 199(CA199),carbohydrate antigen 724(CA724)],PGⅠ and PGⅡ before and after operation in patients with different TNM stages were compared, and their clinical significance was analyzed. Results After operation, the levels of CEA,CA199 and CA724 in stage Ⅰ,Ⅱ,Ⅲ and Ⅳ were significantly lower than those before operation, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05),and the higher the TNM stage, the higher the levels of CEA,CA199 and CA724.After operation, the level of PGⅠ in stage Ⅰ,Ⅱ,Ⅲ and Ⅳ was significantly higher than that before operation, and the level of PGⅡ was significantly lower than that before operation(P<0.05),and the higher the TNM stage, the lower the level of PGⅠ,the higher the level of PGⅡ.Conclusion The levels of serum CEA,CA199 and CA724 in patients with different TNM stages of gastric cancer after radical gastrectomy decreased, the level of PGⅠincreased, and the level of PGⅡ decreased. It has a certain reflection effect on the condition of patients with gastric cancer and can be used as indicators for prognosis evaluation.
