Research progress on the role of ANXA2 in cardiovascular diseases
Annexin A2(ANXA2)is a calcium-dependent phospholipid binding protein, which belongs to a highly conserved multi-gene annexin family member. It has the functions of regulating cell proliferation, calcium homeostasis and promoting cell membrane repair.ANXA2 is also involved in inflammatory response, autophagy, apoptosis and other processes, and also plays an important role in the occurrence and development of cardiovascular diseases. This article reviews the structure and function of ANXA2 and its role in cardiovascular diseases such as atherosclerosis(AS),stroke, and myocardial infarction(MI),aiming to improve the understanding of ANXA2 in cardiovascular diseases and provide a new direction for the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular diseases.
