Effects of micro-screw implant anchorage treatment on root resorption and aesthetic effect in orthodontic patients
Objective To analyze the effects of micro-screw implant anchorage treatment on root resorption and aesthetic effect in orthodontic patients. Methods A total of 80 patients who underwent orthodontic treatment in our hospital from June 2020 to May 2022 were selected as the research objects.According to the parity of admission time sequence number, the patients were divided into control group(odd number)and observation group(even number),with 40 cases in each group. The control group was treated with traditional extraoral arch anchorage, and the observation group was treated with micro-screw implant anchorage. The therapeutic effects of the two groups were compared. Results The total effective rate of treatment in the observation group was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05).After treatment, there were no significant differences in the volume of upper and lower central incisors, lateral incisors and canines between the two groups(P>0.05).After treatment, the periodontal bite force and tooth chewing function of the observation group were higher than those of the control group, and the gingival index, bleeding index and tooth mobility were lower than those of the control group(P<0.05).The width of upper and lower incisors, the inclination angle difference of upper and middle incisors, the scores of Pink Esthetic Score(PES)and White Esthetic Score(WES)in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, and the displacement of molars was shorter than that in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Compared with the traditional extraoral arch anchorage treatment,micro-screw implant anchorage treatment can improve the oral function, dentition arrangement and aesthetic effect of patients, and will not increase root resorption, and has high safety and important application value.
