Investigation and analysis of the current status of core competence and standardized training needs of newly recruited nurses in cancer specialized hospitals
Objective To understand the core competence level and standardized training needs of newly recruited nurses in cancer specialized hospitals,and to explore the correlation between them,so as to provide realistic basis for the construction of pre-service standardized training programs for newly recruited nurses in cancer specialized hospitals.Methods Convenience sampling method was used to select newly recruited nurses in our hospital from May to September 2022 for questionnaire survey,including general situation questionnaire,standardized training needs questionnaire for newly recruited nurses in cancer specialized hospitals and competency inventory for registered nurse,and correlation analysis was carried out.Results A total of 375 newly recruited nurses were included.The average score of standardized training needs of newly recruited nurses in cancer specialized hospitals was(4.41±0.81)points.The average score of core competence of newly recruited nurses in cancer specialized hospital was(2.56±0.81)points.Pearson correlation analysis showed that the core competence of newly recruited nurses in cancer specialized hospitals was positively correlated with the score of standardized training needs(P<0.001).Conclusion The core competence of newly recruited nurses in cancer specialized hospitals is at a medium level,and the demand for standardized training is high,and the core competence is positively correlated with the demand for standardized training.The standardized training of newly recruited nurses in cancer specialized hospitals should fully consider the particularity of cancer specialized nursing and the actual needs of new nurses,and formulate targeted training programs based on the level,ability and willingness of newly recruited nurses,so as to optimize the mode and content of standardized training.
