Analysis of influencing factors of osteoporosis in elderly male patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus
Objective To explore the influencing factors of osteoporosis(OP)in elderly male patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM).Methods The clinical data of 206 elderly male patients with T2DM who were hospitalized from January to December 2022 were retrospectively analyzed.According to the results of dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry(DAX),the patients were divided into non-OP group and OP group. The general data and laboratory examination results of the two groups were compared;the influencing factors of OP in elderly male patients with T2DM were analyzed. Results Among 206 elderly male patients with T2DM,42 cases were complicated with OP,and the incidence of OP was 20.39%.Logistic regression analysis results showed that smoking history, low body mass index(BMI),low N-osteocalcin(N-OST),low total vitamin D,high fasting blood glucose(FBG)and low fasting C-peptide(FCP)were risk factors for OP in elderly male patients with T2DM(P<0.05).Conclusion Smoking history, low BMI,low N-OST,low total vitamin D,high FBG and low FCP were associated with OP in elderly male patients with T2DM.
