Differential diagnosis effect and value of combined detection of WBC,NLR,ESR and CRP in bacterial pneumonia and viral pneumonia
Objective To investigate the effect and value of combined detection of white blood cell(WBC),neutrophil and lymphocyte ratio(NLR),erythrocyte sedimentation rate(ESR)and C-reactive protein(CRP)in differential diagnosis of bacterial pneumonia and viral pneumonia. Methods Forty patients with bacterial pneumonia diagnosed and treated in our hospital from March 2022 to March 2023 were selected as bacterial pneumonia group, and 50 patients with viral pneumonia diagnosed and treated in our hospital during the same period were selected as viral pneumonia group.WBC,NLR,ESR and CRP were detected in the two groups. The levels of WBC,NLR,ESR and CRP were compared between the two groups;the positive rates of single and combined detection of WBC,NLR,ESR and CRP in the two groups were analyzed;the efficacy of single and combined detection of WBC,NLR,ESR and CRP in the diagnosis of bacterial pneumonia were compared. Results The levels of WBC,NLR,ESR and CRP in the bacterial pneumonia group were significantly higher than those in the viral pneumonia group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The positive rate of combined detection of WBC,NLR,ESR and CRP in the two groups was significantly higher than that of single detection, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The area under curve(AUC)and sensitivity of combined detection of WBC,NLR,ESR and CRP in the diagnosis of bacterial pneumonia were higher than those of single detection(P<0.05).Conclusion The combined detection of WBC,NLR,ESR and CRP for the clinical differential diagnosis of bacterial pneumonia and viral pneumonia can obtain higher accuracy and have higher clinical value.
