Effects of PDCA cycle health education on self-care ability and incidence of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular adverse events in patients with hypertension
Objective To explore the effects of plan-do-check-action(PDCA)cycle health education on self-care ability and incidence of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular adverse events in patients with hypertension. Methods A total of 96 patients with hypertension admitted in our hospital from January 2021 to January 2022 were selected as the research objects.According to the random number table method, the patients were divided into control group(48 cases, routine intervention)and observation group(48 cases,PDCA cycle health education intervention). The intervention effects of the two groups were compared. Results After intervention, the systolic blood pressure and diastolic blood pressure in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).After intervention, the scores of reasonable diet, hypertension etiology, scientific exercise, hypertension complications and Exercise of Self-Care Agency Scale(ESCA)in the observation group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).The total incidence of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular adverse events in the observation group was lower than that in the control group(P=0.001).After intervention, the scores of physical function, psychological function, social function and material function in the observation group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion PDCA cycle health education can improve the blood pressure of patients with hypertension, enhance cognition of hypertension, elevate self-care ability, reduce the incidence of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular adverse events, and promote the quality of life, which is worthy of clinical promotion.
